If you know anything about Houstonians, you know that they love their beloved Astros. I’m no different, and I love when couples add their own hobbies and interests into their engagement sessions. It only made sense to photograph a session at Minute Maid Park for these two HUGE Astros’ fans. Wandering around the empty stadium was an incredible experience for all of us!
Cat and Cliff dressed the part for the ballpark: she wore jeans, sneakers, and tied a cute orange and blue plaid shirt around her waist, while he donned a blue polo and matching denim. Of course, we had to take a few epic photos in front of the World Series sign. Then, as a creative way to display their wedding date, they put the numbers up on the scoreboard and held up a baseball revealing their wedding date to showcase on their save the dates.
However, engagement photos aren’t just for save the dates – they’re also a way to document the beginning of your love story. I want all of my couples to have a diverse collection of what is probably their first professional photos together. So, after the themed part of the session, they got into something a little dressier for a romantic forest shoot. I love the contrast between the laid-back urban photos and the more intimate woodsy photos. We wandered through the natural beauty of Houston to get some photos that really focused on Cat and Cliff and the love they share between them! They were both naturals in front of the camera, so it was pretty easy to capture their personality authentically. Plus, the natural glow of the sun was perfect that evening!
Congratulations on your engagement, Cat and Cliff. I couldn’t be happier for the two of you!
