Sarah and Ryan chose a classic venue and added a little of their own classic style to create the timeless wedding of their dreams at Ashton Gardens in Houston, TX. Between the dark wood arched double doors, white stone facade, and the classic Bentley that whisked the two away on their wedding night, Sarah and Ryan’s wedding day was a classic fairytale come true.
Sarah began her day getting ready with her bridesmaids in their matching robes. The future Mrs. donned beautiful curls and a classic smokey eye. She was helped into her elegant strapless white beaded gown by her mother. After getting ready, I was able to catch a tender moment between mother and daughter as they prayed together. Then it was time for the bride to take some portraits with her side of the family and her bridesmaids in the chapel. Sarah and Ryan chose to forego a first look, but they did have a special moment together with their backs against an adjoining wall to hold hands and exchange gifts. Before they knew it, it was time for the ceremony to begin.
The light pouring in through the floor to ceiling windows behind the altar during their ceremony was absolutely perfect. It provided the perfect lighting and made some beautiful photographs. After the ‘I Do’s, it was time for portraits. We took advantage of that beautiful lighting in the chapel, and then we headed outside to capture some pictures in front of the beautiful. As the family headed off to join the other guests for the cocktail hour, Sarah and Ryan were able to capture some intimate moments alone before rejoining their guests, and I was able to grab some fantastic photos of the two of them. I love the one of them nose to nose behind Sarah’s veil. It’s absolutely enchanting!
The reception was an absolute blast. The speeches were made and it was time for the father-daughter dance. They had a choreographed dance all put together, and everyone loved it!! They had definitely started the party. The bride and groom had so much fun doing the bouquet and garter toss. They danced with their family and friends well into the evening until it was time to head off as Mr. and Mrs. Swink!
