Cat and Cliff put a unique spin on a classic wedding! I love that they chose to get married in this intimate venue that used to be a fire station. Station 3 was one of Houston’s original fire stations right outside of downtown. When it was a functioning fire station, it was putting out fires with just horses and carriages! In 2014, it underwent extensive renovations, and it is now a refurbished building that is used for corporate events, private parties, and weddings!
Special Memories with Special People
Cat spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids in their matching floral robes! I love it when the bridal party has matching outfits for getting ready. It makes for such great photos. The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses which will always be a favorite of mine! The first look was between Cat and her father. I was so happy to be able to catch some tender moments between the two of them, especially of Cat showing her father the embroidered fabric swatch of his handwriting sewn into the fabric folds of her dress..
The bride and groom said ‘I Do’ under a floral altar arch, and it was time for the portraits. The arch was perfect for the backdrop of the wedding portraits. The windows behind the altar provided such beautiful natural light that filtered in through the gauzy draperies. The bride and groom wanted a few moments alone before the party started, so we headed outside to take some portraits of the two of them. The beautiful antique brick exterior brought such a lovely vintage feel to the photos.
While the couple was busy taking photographs, the guests were well taken care of. This Astros loving couple gave their guests a little taste of baseball with hotdogs, popcorn, and Cracker Jacks during their cocktail hour. How fun is that?! Their reception was beautiful! The floral arrangements on the tables were beautiful and the sprigs of greenery on the napkins were such a whimsy touch. I absolutely love anytime I get to photograph florals done by Maria from Maxit Floral Design. She really brought the receptions space to life!
